Where did we go? We went to the former Memorial Hall on Castilian Street. This was built in 1921 and was designed by Alexander Ellis Anderson. It is Grade 2 listed and commemorates the death of Lt Ralph Paton Taylor at the Battle of the Somme.

What was it like? It was very cold and we were grateful to the Saffron Restaurant who came out and kindly gave each us a bottle of water.
